Wade Sousa
Principal - Preconstruction & Development
The Strategist & Client Advocate. As a native of Tipton, California, Wade combines deep local knowledge with high-level construction strategy. Holding a B.S. in Construction Management from Colorado State University, he leads West Sierra’s Preconstruction and Development divisions, focusing on the critical early phases where project success is defined.
Professional Background: Wade brings a unique "Owner’s Perspective" to General Contracting. Prior to co-founding West Sierra, he served as the Construction Project Manager for a major financial institution, acting as the Owner's Representative. In this capacity, he successfully oversaw a $60 Million Corporate Center, along with numerous branch builds and remodels. This experience managing capital from the client’s side gives him a distinct advantage in protecting owner interests, managing budgets, and navigating the development lifecycle.
Core Expertise: With 8 years of industry leadership, Wade’s portfolio spans diverse sectors including Multifamily, Industrial Tilt-Up, Healthcare, Hospitality, Office, and Education. Whether developing a new sports facility or renovating a clinical environment, his focus remains on cost certainty, constructability, and strategic planning.
Life Outside Construction: When he isn't value-engineering a project, Wade takes advantage of the Central Valley’s geography. He is an avid outdoorsman, most often found exploring the backcountry of the High Sierras.
